What We Know:
A 5% discount may not seem huge, but it was a straightforward way to get gift cards at a 5% discount, which is a decent deal for eBay in particular. And a lot of people had creative deals to make this deal even better. As of last 4/24, the REDcard 5% discount does not apply on gift cards purchases at Target.com. In-Store hasn’t been working for some also. Although it is still possible to buy third-party gift cards with Target gift cards so if you have a Target gift card to use up, you can purchase eBay or any other third party gift cards Target or Target.com. Visa Gift Cards cannot be purchased with a Target Gift Card.
Final Verdict:
This is a sad day for those that purchased third-party gift cards using Target’s REDCard discount. The 5% discount may not have seemed huge, but it can easily stack up depending on the amount of gift cards you purchase.
